5 hours after I dropped my mom off at the airport, I pulled over on a scenic outlook on the edge of the Yosemite National Park to take a photo and less than 100 feet later my van stopped in the middle of the road!
Although I’m not a mechanic… I am proud to report that I did have the proper diagnosis. After having checked the obvious battery and belts… I realized that the engine WAS turning over but it was not “catching” so I knew it had to be something with the fuel… and I had plenty of that so I kept thinking it was a fuel pump!
Thankfully I have AAA and they towed the van to a Chevy Dealer just 10 miles away. Unfortunately, since the service department was not open on Saturday or Sunday I had to wait untilĀ Monday morning to hear the prognosis… So I checked myself into a hotel.
As of right now, I’m still in the hotel & I’m hoping it gets fixed by tomorrow!
I’m enjoying my hotel-room and the mining town I’m staying in… I’m in Jamestown California and this area has so much history! I visited the State Park nearby and walked the streets to visit the supply store, blacksmith shop, candy shop, post office and jail.
