Beach Clean Up

There are so many options to choose from in regards to where I will stay… I have stayed at so many different types of places on this trip!

I have camped overnight at a Wal-Mart parking lot.

I have camped overnight at a rest stop when I was “pushing” to get somewhere.

I have camped at established campgrounds in the Redwoods and on the Ocean. {not always cheap!}

…and I have camped at State & National Parks!

I must say…camping in the Bureau of Land Management {BLM} is not only beautiful but most of the time it is FREE!

BLM land honestly has SO many options for camping. They have primitive sites, more established amenities, and even wilderness backpacking places… their website literally says:  No matter what type of experience you are looking for, you can find it on BLM-managed public lands.

SO… for the past week, I have traveled down the California Mountain range and I’ve stayed at 4 different BLM lands and I have passed Yosemite National Park, Sierra National Forest, Kings Canyon & the Sequoia National Forest on my way to Joshua Tree.

here are a few pics from my FREE BLM campsites:
