When MAYO Designs started delivering high quality marketing services to businesses, I was only 3 years old.

Fast forward to 2018, and MAYO Designs is not only a leader in marketing, but also in bringing their sustainable mindset to businesses and individuals throughout New England. At this point, I just happened to be a 21 year old recent UNH grad.

After school, I knew I wanted to get into the world of marketing, but more importantly, I knew I wanted to do all I could to join an organization that wanted to better our planet. Enter MAYO Designs… the best of both worlds.

My entire life, I never focused on consumption of goods. I knew who to vote for, I knew the world had to be smarter about how we used our resources, and I knew SOMEBODY had to make a change to try to save the planet. However, I never thought there was anything I could do, so in turn, I did nothing.

Over the past year, MAYO has taught me that I can do something. I do have the power. It is up to the individual to make a difference and to start a chain reaction.

What have I changed since learning from MAYO Designs? Let’s see:

• Plastic “Shmastic” – There are many alternatives to purchasing products wrapped in plastic. Simple research can be done, or simply take a walk down the grocery aisle and see for yourself. Reusable water bottles, shopping bags, and utensils are some of the easiest changes that I, or anyone, can make. Skipping the straw is an easy change, too!
• Support Local Businesses – I was the king of finding the cheapest deals I could find, no matter who the company was, and no matter what the product was. Now, I find higher quality products from businesses that support the local community.
• Encouraging Clients – I am lucky enough to help put on events and work with businesses on their marketing strategy. I never hesitate to challenge them to make their efforts more sustainable.
• Take it one thing at a time – Don’t let the overwhelming amount of challenges we have to overcome discourage you… understand that if each of us does our part, we can make the world cleaner and happier for future generations.
• Shout it from the mountain tops – Tell your friends. Tell your friends’ friends. Tell your friends’ friends’ friends! They will want to join you on your journey! =)

MAYO Designs has given me one mindset and one mindset only… SAVE THE DAMN PLANET!
